Lake County government is committed to making every service, program, and workplace accessible to people with disabilities.

Our Commitment Under Title II

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Lake County government will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities in its services, programs, or activities. This applies to county meetings, court services, and every department that serves the public.

Employment

Lake County does not discriminate on the basis of disability in hiring or employment practices, and follows all regulations set by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission under Title I of the ADA.

Requesting an Accommodation

Anyone who needs an auxiliary aid, service, or a modification of policy to take part in a county program or activity should contact the ADA Coordinator as soon as possible, ideally at least 48 hours before a scheduled event.

Filing a Grievance

Complaints alleging disability discrimination in county services can be filed in writing with the ADA Coordinator. Include your name, address, phone number, and a description of the issue, including the date and location. Alternative formats for filing, such as a recorded statement, are available upon request.
