The County Mayor serves as chief executive officer of Lake County, overseeing every department and steering the fiscal direction of local government. The role combines budget management with committee and department appointments, plus the daily administrative work that keeps the county moving forward.

Danny Cook currently holds the office, supported by Deputy Lori Long and Deputy Angie Chadwick, who help manage the office's workload and serve as a point of contact for residents.
